THE ART OF LETTING GO - FALL YOGACU WORKSHOP
Saturday, October 14, 2023
1-3pm
Metal is the element that provides structure and significance - it gives us mountains, rocks, and precious stones. The gift of Metal is letting go of grief, loss, shame, guilt, and outward displays; and brings inner space, solitude, appreciation, self-worth, and Heavenly connection. Metal is seen as fall energy, and the release of what no longer serves oneself to enable greater integrity. It is the essence of taking in breath or the divine, appreciating its value and releasing the breath while holding onto its preciousness.
Yoga postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to clear, strengthen, and balance the metal energy, element, and meridians in the body in preparation for the fall and the art of letting go. The workshop begins with a discussion of the metal element, fall season, and foods to help transition into fall followed by specific yoga poses and breathing techniques to bring in the metal aspects of appreciation, balance, and integrity. Class ends with an extended relaxation with the option of ear acupuncture needles or vaccaria seeds in the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocol points. The NADA protocol is used worldwide, and uses up to 5 acupuncture needles or seeds in each ear. Some of the benefits of the NADA protocol include reduced anxiety and stress, improved sleep, and increased calmness.
The cost of the workshop is $100; pre-registration is required.
Space is limited.
